2019년 7월 말레이시아 페낭에서 개최된 International Congress and Conferences on Computational Design andEngineering (i3CDE) 국제학술대회에서 시스템설계연구실 (지도교수: 노명일)의 오민재 박사, 석영수 학부생, 이성준 박사과정생이 “Optimization of a Ship Hull Form using Deep Learning” 논문을 발표하여 Best Presentation Award를 수상하였다. i3CDE는 공학 설계 분야 국제학술대회로서, 올해에는 기존의 ACDDE (Asian Conference on Design and Digital Engineering), ICNMI (International Conference on New Media Interaction), ICDCB (International Conference on Smart Design, Construction IT and BIM), ICSM (International Conference on Smart Manufacturing)국제학술대회들과 공동으로 개최되었다. 이번 학술대회에는 전 세계 연구자들이 참여하여 Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, IoT, 3D Printing, Intelligent Sensor, and Cyber Physical System 등 4차 산업 관련 최신 기술들을 주제로 논문을 발표하였다.
